You will also find yourself getting irritated many times and have lots of challenges.

You will deal with pain and grief while watching your parent lose the ability to do little everyday tasks.

You have had a very long day and you may deal with a parent who has a loss of appetite and doesn't want to eat the dinner that you just took an hour to prepare.

You will always be managing daily struggles.

Dealing with day to day small things and giving them little tasks to do like folding a few clean clothes will give them a sense of still being productive.

Mom is still able to dress but I need to help her put her socks on.

We keep her dressing very simple.

She gets upset with the phone when she dials the wrong number, thinking the phone is broke or she will use it to turn the television off.

These day to day situations often drain the caregivers.

Our loved ones can be restless or confused.

You may also be dealing with incontinence because of the messages the brain sends.

Make sure the bathroom is clear or have a portable potty available when you need one.

There are so many more situations that we may have to learn how to cope with.
